EPA releases draft requirements for public records for underground storage tank grant guidelines

WASHINGTON (06/16/06) -- The U.S. EPA has released for public comment draft grant guidelines that will establish requirements for public records for underground storage tank systems. States will have to meet the requirements to be in compliance with provisions of the Energy Policy Act of 2005. 

The EPA said it worked with states and other partners to develop the grant guidelines and, when final, will incorporate them into grant agreements between EPA and states. EPA said it would accept public comments on the draft guidelines until July 8, 2006.
