Environmental Energy Services, Inc. (EESV) Elects Two Directors

Vaughn J. Featherstone and Bill Basham Bring Outside Expertise to Board of Directors

BOISE, ID (08/31/06) -- Environmental Energy Services, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: EESV)  announced today that Vaughn J. Featherstone and Bill Basham have been elected directors of the company. Both directors are "outside" directors and were chosen for their specific capabilities and to conform to SEC rules regarding appropriate committees for fully operational, public companies.

"Vaughn and Bill bring a wealth of talent and experience to the board," said Dr. A. Leon Blaser, Chairman and CEO of EESV. "Both gentlemen have considerable ability and a track record of proven success. As the company prepares for the initiation of drilling and other activities, it was important to the existing directors to increase the number of outside directors and create committees under their leadership in order to enhance shareholder confidence and oversight. They will lend valuable insight and perspective to EESV's board of directors."

Mr. Featherstone, age 75, was an executive with Albertson's Inc. for 18 years before spending almost 34 years as a leader and general authority for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He has also served on the national Executive Board for the Boy Scouts of America where he received much recognition. His business experience and general leadership will prove invaluable to EESV and its executive team.

Mr. Basham, age 58, is the president of Northwest Angel Network Inc, a high-tech angel financing company. He also serves as chairman of Solution Pro, a business-centric ISP in Idaho and Washington. Mr. Basham is an active angel investor with several high tech start-ups and has participated in other angel financing through his firm, The Angel People. Some of his portfolio companies include PersonalShopper.com, Solution-Pro, Akers Capital, and Sawtooth Securities. Prior to his angel financing activities, he funded and managed Cyberhighway Inc, an ISP in 11 states, selling it in 1999 to a public company; and he founded, grew, and operated Prodata Inc, an IT consulting and contracting company with 400 employees in 9 western states. He then sold that company in 1995 to a Seattle based group. Mr. Basham's business experience and venture contacts will certainly help EESV with its long-term strategy.
