Sylvan Source Appoints Kevin W. Hunt as Vice President of North American Sales

Technology Industry Veteran to 
Drive Sales in North America 

SUNNYVALE, CA (09/19/06) -- Sylvan Source, the provider of breakthrough ultra-clean water systems, today announced Kevin W. Hunt as the company's new vice president of sales. Hunt will assume responsibility for all North American sales and channel activities as Sylvan Source continues to target premium appliance distributors and large and custom homebuilders for its M-600 ultra-clean water treatment system.

Hunt joins Sylvan Source from Klutz, an internationally recognized creator of award-winning children's activity products. Prior to Klutz, Hunt held various management positions in sales and marketing with companies that included Interwoven, Ironside Technologies, Berkeley Systems, Radius Inc., and Pinnacle Systems. As vice president of sales and marketing at Pinnacle, a worldwide leader in digital video editing and post-production tools, Hunt established the company in the consumer and small business market and led a team that doubled revenues during his tenure. His early experience in sales was gained at IBM, Computerland, and NYNEX (now Verizon). He earned a BA degree in political science from the University of California at Berkeley.

Mr. Hunt will take over management of Sylvan Source's current relationships with distributors in the United States and Canada, and drive the company's sales strategies to expand awareness and sales of the Sylvan Source M-600.

The Sylvan Source M-600 integrates degassing, distillation, demisting and condensation into a unique multi-step cleaning process. Unlike conventional filtration, reverse osmosis, and distillation systems, the Sylvan Source M-600 system requires no cleaning, and uses no added chemicals, filters, cartridges, or membranes. The Sylvan Source M-600 has earned NSF/ANSI Standard 62 certification for ensuring safe drinking water treatment units and has been certified by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), the California Department of Health Services, the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs, Wisconsin Department of Commerce, and Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL). These certifications represent critical industry validation of the M-600's quality and high performance.
