PRINCETON, NJ (10/12/05) -- Thomas V. Fusillo, Managing Principal of ENVIRON International Corporation's New Jersey operations, is pleased to announce the association of Nestor Soler and Jose Sananes and the return of Mark Nielsen, resulting in an exciting expansion of the firm's site-related service offerings to New Jersey and Metropolitan-area clients.

According to Tom, "The in-depth environmental and geotechnical expertise that these individuals bring to bear on Brownfield and landfill projects will definitively enhance the site-related services that we provide to our regional marketplace." ENVIRON's Site Characterization and Remediation practice offers a full spectrum of technical, scientific, and management capabilities within a single line of services that provide site owners and developers with proven, economical environmental solutions.

Nestor D. Soler, P.E., has joined the firm as a Principal in the Princeton office. During more than 22 years as an environmental, geotechnical and civil engineer, Nestor has directed and contributed to numerous design and construction engineering projects and pioneered the development of several innovative systems for use in Brownfield redevelopment, site remediation, beneficial reuse programs for contaminated materials, dredge management, renewable energy projects for landfills with an emphasis on biomass-to-energy technologies, and environmental modeling.

Nestor will also be assisting in the procurement, development, and implementation of methane emission reduction programs, services that are provided by ENVIRON's wholly owned subsidiary, CarbonVentures. CarbonVentures offers a full range of services to address the technical and commercial aspects of climate change and greenhouse gas emissions management.

A Ph.D. Candidate in Environmental Engineering at Rutgers University, Nestor holds an M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering from Rutgers and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Los Andes University.

Previously with ENVIRON from 1988 to 2003, Mark recently served as the program manager for the Battelle Memorial Institute on the U.S. Navy's Environmental Engineering Services and Optimization Contract. This program focused on optimizing remedial designs and remedial action operations, including long-term ground water monitoring programs, ground water extraction system operations, and soil treatment technologies.

Mark's more than 15 years of experience with environmental and civil design projects have focused on the application of risk assessment and risk management strategies to site remediation and landfill closure projects under Superfund, RCRA, and state cleanup programs. He holds an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Princeton University and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Drexel University.
