(OTCBB:CERP), a producer of proprietary bio-based resins used as substitutes for petroleum-based plastics, announced today that it has entered into a commercial agreement with Sodexho (NYSE:SDX), North America's leading facilities and food service management provider. The agreement states that Sodexho will purchase commercial quantities of Cereplast(TM)-made packaging food service ware for its North American operations.

Sodexho Supply Management Director Troy Acosta said the decision to use Cereplast(TM)-made packaging is part of an overall strategy to increase the use of eco-friendly products made from natural or recycled materials. "Sensitivity to environmental issues is an integral part of Sodexho's way of doing business. It's important to us and to our customers," said Acosta. "Cereplast(TM)-made packaging is similar in performance and price to standard food service packaging, but the fact that it is biobased, biodegradable and compostable sets it apart."
